Hitting the Books for Anything But a Card Challenges No. 27

Good Morning Everyone! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments and those who played along with Julie's mini-challenge. Stay tuned for a new "Spotlight and Mini-Challenge" at the top of October {or September 29th, whichever comes first}.

It's time for a new challenge today here at Anything But a Card Challenges... so get ready to play and have some fun! Kudos to everyone who took the challenge in fantasyland with your Challenge #26 Fairy Tale /  Fairy Themed creations. If you missed out on seeing all the amazing submissions... please CLICK HERE.

The new Challenge... Anything But a Card Challenge #27 asks you to "Hit the BOOKS".  Hit the Books: create a project based on a favorite book, or alter a book, use book pages on your project, create a book mark, a book cover, make a tote, etc. JUST REMEMBER... create anything EXCEPT a card for this challenge :)

**A REMINDER** This Challenge will go through the end of the Month... so you have an extra week to play along and ENJOY the creative process! We will share more of our Design Team's creations each Sunday to keep you inspired.

Let's see what part of our DT has created!!

Please click on the designers' name to visit their blog. We hope you’ll take a minute to go see their work up close... and as long as you’re there – please leave them a little love!

For Julia's project, she altered a book based on a demo piece created by Andy Skinner at The Craft Barn... and enjoyed practicing her dry brushing technique. CLICK HERE to jump over to her blog "Julia's Stuff" and read all about how she created this.

"Our life's journeys all take such twists and turns. I began this journal in 2005 at a very difficult and painful time in my life. It has taken till now to feel totally comfortable to revisit it and to begin to use again. Of course, it had nothing on the cover so a makeover was in order but this is a work in progress. I'm not sure it is finished... we shall see as I start to play in it again."

Diana used a dictionary page to make the doll...
and it's also a bookmark! So double bookly duty!

We hope our designers have you INSPIRED to break out some supplies, or curl up with a journal and create!!! We can't wait to see your creations and we hope that you will join in and share them with us! Stop back next Sunday to see more of our Design Team creations!
